THE QUOTATION FOR YOUR WALL
Stone wall cladding.
How much material do you need?
Measure the wall and subtract openings. Then consider format, cuts, corners, substrate preparation and installation: material price is one part of the project.
Compare the finished wall.
To compare like-for-like offers, check the sales unit, joints allowed for in the square metre and the actual quantity. The coverage of cladding with wide joints differs from close-jointed installation.
The calculator estimates a rectangular wall after deducting doors and windows. For irregular walls or multiple surfaces, prepare the measurements with whoever is overseeing the project.
A complete quotation includes:
- Cladding and extra material for cuts and selection
- Corners, reveals and special pieces
- Substrate preparation and installation system
- Joints, pointing, transport and any treatment
The “Extras” field can include separately calculated corners: price per linear metre × corner length. The calculation does not automatically convert pieces or linear metres into square metres. For bricks and sheets sold individually, derive the price per square metre from the variant's stated coverage and check rounding to full packs.

Budget questions.
Does the material price include installation?
Check the individual terms of sale. In this calculation, material, installation, wall preparation and extras are separate items.
How much waste should I allow for?
It depends on format, pattern, openings, cuts and joints. Some product pages give specific allowances: read the variant's information and confirm the quantity with whoever is overseeing installation.
Are corners included in the square metre?
Some corners are sold by the linear metre, others individually. Check the variant's unit and calculate them separately from the area to be clad.
